About Berkeley Motor Works

Berkeley Motor Works was established in 1990 by Mike Schwarzbart as an independent BMW repair shop. The business has enjoyed a steady growth due to his insistence on perfection and honesty.

The shop moved to it's present location in Albany in 2002 to accomodate the steady growth and increased demand for our services.

You'll find Berkeley Motor Works, an exclusive BMW and MINI repair facility, in the east bay city of Albany, California. It is a high quality shop, reflecting the character of the community it works in: unpretentious and solid as a rock.

The Business is supervised by the husband and wife team of Michael Schwarzbart, the owner, who manages repairs, and his Jane wife who runs the office. A service writer and three certified technicians, using the very latest state of the art equipment, complete the "family."

The other day I chatted with Mike. "These are demanding times and our competition is formidable," he says, "in order for us to run with the pack and go that extra mile we've got to keep that edge." And, indeed,by doing the job right, honestly and skillfully, Berkley Motor Works for close to 15years has continued to maintain that illusive edge. it's all about "going that extra mile"
